Madelyn & Kurt - Wedding Photography

They say rain on a wedding day is good luck, and after Madelyn & Kurt's wedding, we totally agree! On a rainy and brisk Saturday in March, we had the privilege of photographing one of the most genuinely kind couples, Madelyn & Kurt. While we had never met Kurt, Madelyn and Jared grew up in church together and so photographing their wedding was extra special to us ("You're here!" <- inside joke).

One of the things that really stood out to us was the kind, selfless nature of these two. Madelyn was not only a beautiful bride, but she was more concerned with how everyone else was feeling, and often asked, "How are you feeling? Do you need anything?" to multiple people throughout the day. How amazing is that? Both she and Kurt exude a heart of servanthood and we can only imagine the impact they will have as a couple.

When we met with them a few weeks before, they mentioned that their wedding day was "the most sacred day of their lives". We loved that perspective and thought of it often as we photographed. It completely encapsulates the way we feel about all the weddings we have the joy to capture!

Madelyn & Kurt's wedding was held at the beautiful First Presbyterian Church in Morristown, Tennessee. Everything- from the large and colorful stained glass windows to the towering columns at the front of the alter- was magical. It truly felt like a sacred day, one we know they have looked forward to for a long time, surrounded by their beloved friends and families.

We wish them all the best (and that the rain really does give them some good luck) as they enter into their forever.

Below are a few of our favorite photos from their wedding day. Tap on any of them to enlarge it!
