Adam and Laura - Wedding Video
Concept
I've known Laura for many years - we grew up at the same church and she was actually one of the church interns while I was in the student ministry. So I was honored when she asked me to shoot and produce her wedding video. It was an incredibly nice wedding and her new husband, Adam, seems like a great guy. They made getting the right shot a breeze for me.
Production
This was a pretty straight forward shoot. I used only one camera for most of the day, although I set up a secondary on a tripod during the ceremony.
Music is one of the most important emotional drivers of any video, and wedding videos are no exception. I spent probably two weeks trying to find the perfect songs to use for this wedding. After hours and hours on The Music Bed, I chose two songs I was already very familiar with and had held in my iTunes library for well over a year. Story of my life :)
Just about any wedding video I do has a soft color grade. It just feels right. I spent a significant amount of time coloring each shot. I even added some light leaks into a majority of the shots, which is not something I would normally do, but it added a feeling of warmth that I really liked.
